Homeopathic Anxiety Remedies

Homeopathic Anxiety Remedies

Homeopathic anxiety remedies come in many forms. Some are herbal remedies, but others are simply food-based. Since I’ve already written about herbal anxiety remedies, I’d like to focus here on some food-based homeopathic anxiety remedies that are totally safe to use at home. These remedies are great because they don’t involve any potential side effects or interactions, such as even strong herbal remedies can have.

These homeopathic anxiety remedies are best used on a regular basis, and they’re best for treating minor or moderate anxiety. If you have severe anxiety or constant anxiety, you might prefer to use herbal remedies or to see a therapist about potential behavioral therapy that could help you through your anxiety problems. These homeopathic anxiety remedies do work, but they’re less strong and effective than some other potential remedies on the market.

Here’s what you need to know about some easy homeopathic anxiety remedies:

Baking soda bath

Baths are one of my favorite ways to relieve tension, which can reduce overall anxiety levels. Before you take a warm soak in the tub, add 1/3 cup of baking soda to the bath. It can help soften the skin and relieve even more tension. If your muscles are really tight, you can also add some apple cider vinegar to the tub. Don’t worry ā€“ you won’t come out smelling like fish and chips! The vinegar scent is hardly noticeable in a full tub of water, and it dries off really easily, too.

Eating almonds

Almonds are full of compounds that can help quell anxiety. Add them to your daily snack rotation to get their full benefits. You can also turn almonds into a relaxing pre-bed drink, though, by soaking them in water overnight. Then, take off the skins and blend them with a cup of warm milk and a bit of ginger and nutmeg. This is one of my favorite homeopathic anxiety remedies if Iā€™m having trouble sleeping, and it’s really healthy, too!

When I’m starting to feel anxious, one of my favorite homeopathic anxiety remedies is aromatherapy with sweet orange oil, which has long been used to boost the spirits and get rid of anxiety. You can order essential oils like orange oil online, but if you’re in a pinch, you can use fresh oranges, too.

First, peel the orange, saving the peels. You can savor the smell of the oranges as you eat one. Then, add the peels to a small pan on the stove. Cover with water, and simmer until the fragrant oils are released throughout your home. I also like to add a pinch of cinnamon to this concoction, since cinnamon not only goes well with orange but also helps stimulate blood flow and makes you feel more alert.

This is another essential oil that has long been used for anxiety relief. Homeopathic anxiety remedies like this can be used in an essential oil burner, or you can make your own infusion by adding a couple of teaspoons of dried rosemary to a cup of boiling water, to turn it into a tea. If this doesn’t seem appetizing to you, just do something similar to what you could do with an orange peel ā€“ making a scented pot of water that you can inhale.

I also like using diluted rosemary oil as a massage oil for my feet and neck when I’m feeling very tense. Dilute a few drops of the oil in a few tablespoons of olive or almond oil, and massage it into your skin liberally. Keep in mind that this concoction is contraindicated for pregnant women, though, as rosemary has been known to cause uterine contractions!
